Holmenkol We offer waxes for different temperature ranges and snow types, from cold fresh snow to damp firn. You’ll find the appropriate temperature range listed on the packaging, and we’d also be happy to advise you personally on the right choice.
For recreational skiers, we recommend waxing every 3 to 5 days of skiing; for intensive use or racing, wax more frequently. Regular waxing also protects the ski base from drying out.
Liquid wax can be applied quickly without an iron and is well-suited for touch-ups. Hard wax is applied with an iron and lasts longer, but is more time-consuming to use. For optimal results, both can be combined.
With Holmenkol Textile Wash, you can gently clean your performance apparel without damaging the membrane. Afterward, a waterproofing treatment ensures that water continues to bead off reliably.
Before the summer break, it’s recommended to apply a thick layer of storage wax to protect the base from drying out. Before the next season, the wax is then simply scraped off and the skis are re-waxed.
