Product Information "Holmenkol Side Wall Finish 50 ml"
At extreme lean angles, not only does the base run on the snow, but so do the sidewalls. The Holmenkol Side Wall Finish is designed precisely for this: a World Cup-proven coating that reduces friction where every hundredth of a second counts in a race.
Holmenkol Side Wall Finish - Coating for the sidewalls
- World Cup-proven coating for the sidewalls
- Does it increase speed during extreme lean angles?
- Also suitable for sled runners
- 50 ml bottle with dispenser tip
Who will benefit from this
For racers in giant slalom and speed disciplines, where the ski is edged so far that the sidewall touches the snow. You won’t notice a difference during normal on-piste skiing—in that case, your money is better spent on a good glide wax.
Here’s how to use it
Clean and dry the sidewalls, apply a thin layer of the finish from the dispensing tip, and spread it evenly. Let it air dry before putting the ski back in the snow. Use sparingly—the 50 ml is enough for many applications.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it depend on the base?
No, only on the sidewalls. The base gets regular glide wax.
How often do I need to reapply it?
Before competitions and after edge grinding, because that removes the coating.
Does it also work on sled runners?
Yes, Holmenkol explicitly lists this as an application.
