Product Information "Holmenkol Performance Bar 21 150 g"
Holmenkol ’s Performance Bar 21 is the fluorine-free, high-performance base wax for alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and ski jumping: one block for the entire winter, from 0 to minus 20 degrees Celsius snow temperature. Developed for training and competition, it complies with all regulations of international ski federations. 150 g, made in Germany.
Holmenkol Performance Bar 21: base wax for temperatures from 0 to minus 20 degrees
The fluorine-free formula is designed for a wide range of conditions and covers almost everything from mild to cold days. High abrasion resistance and low dirt absorption keep the wax layer consistent and the base clean, even in aggressive snow conditions. As a base wax, it prepares the base for racing waxes; in clubs and ski service shops, it is the all-purpose wax for everyday maintenance. Ironing temperature: 140 to 150 degrees, for new, old, and coarse snow in moderate to dry humidity conditions.

What does the “21” in the name mean?
This is the fluorine-free formula that Holmenkol introduced in 2021 following the fluorine ban. The wax is therefore also approved for FIS races.
How does Performance Bar 21 differ from Performance Bar Purple?
Bar 21 covers a wider range, from 0 to minus 20 degrees, and is the universal base wax. Purple is tailored to the typical Alpine winter, with a range from 0 to minus 12 degrees.
Can I use it as a base wax under racing waxes?
Yes, that’s exactly what it’s designed for: first iron on Performance Bar 21, wipe it off, then apply the race wax.
For skis and snowboards?
Yes, for all base types: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, and snowboarding.
How many applications does 150 g cover?
Depending on ski length, about 8 to 12 pairs of skis.
