Product Information "Holmenkol World Cup Finish Speed Block Blue 10 g"
The Holmenkol World Cup Finish Speed Block Blue is the finish for the starting area in cold snow: no waxing stand, no iron, no waiting. Apply, buff, brush briefly, and go. For snow temperatures ranging from minus 12 to minus 20 degrees, 10 g of wax cubes in the box, PFC-free.
Holmenkol Speed Block Blue: Speed without a waxing stand at temperatures ranging from minus 12 to minus 20 degrees
The high-performance specialty polymer wax formula is based on powder waxes developed for the World Cup. Thanks to its high hardness, the block is very abrasion-resistant and economical—one cube lasts for many applications. Designed for dry or granular snow, especially when conditions are different than expected right before the race: two minutes with a cork and brush, and the ski picks up speed.
Features in Detail
- √ High-performance specialty polymer wax, based on World Cup powders
- √ Extreme acceleration and very high speed
- √ Very long-lasting, highly abrasion-resistant, goes a long way
- √ For dry or granular snow
- √ Snow temperature: minus 12 to minus 20 degrees
- √ 100 percent PFC-free, 10 g cube in the box
Intended Use
Use in the starting area during races, training, and ski service as a quick finishing step over the ironed-on wax. For alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowboarding.
Application
Rub the block onto the cleanly brushed-out base, work it in with the cork, and brush it out with the nylon brush. For basic preparation at home, iron-on wax remains the foundation.
Do I have to iron on the block?
No, that’s exactly the point: apply, buff, brush.
Which color works best for which type of snow?
Blue covers temperatures from minus 12 to minus 20 degrees, Red from minus 6 to minus 12 degrees. Measure the snow temperature, not the air temperature.
How long does one application last?
For a single race run. For a full day of training, an ironed-on finish is the better choice.
Is 10 g enough?
Yes, the material goes a long way—one cube lasts for many runs.
Is the block FIS-compliant?
Yes, it is fluorine- and PFC-free.
