Ski goggles and ski helmets

Everyone needs a breathtaking vacation at some point. And when that vacation takes place in the mountains, it's all the more exciting. If you have then decided to take a vacation in the mountains, it definitely stands to reason that you should go skiing as part of your mountain vacation.

You should never miss the opportunity to go skiing in your life, because the experience of skiing is one of the best things in life!
In order to get through this experience safely and in one piece, you need a few things, such as good old ski goggles.
They are primarily used when skiing to protect you from the sun and swirling snow. They are also used to prevent snow blindness, as the human eye is severely dazzled by the reflection of the sun in the snow at high altitudes.

Types of ski goggles

There are basically two different types of ski goggles. On the one hand, there are ski goggles, which in principle cover a large part of the face, and so-called sunglasses or sports goggles, which are fitted with an elastic strap for a better fit. The tinted lenses on ski goggles, which you have probably seen more than once, serve to improve visibility in fog.
Of course, people who wear glasses also need to be able to wear ski goggles. There are special ski goggles for this, which are slightly different to ski goggles for people without visual impairment.
Firstly, there are over-the-glasses goggles, which fit over your own glasses.
There are also ski goggles with prescription, where the lenses for the ski goggles are fitted by an optician.
There are also ski goggles with a clip mechanism, where only the lenses need to be changed.
Last but not least, there are ski goggles with a flip-up visor on the ski helmet. Your goggles remain under the visor and are therefore protected.

Ski goggle sizes

To make sure you choose the right size from the larger selection, take a look at the following website: https://ski-shop.ch/skiservice.Skibrillen also distinguishes between cat.2 3 4. Our range also includes ski goggles or ski equipment in general from Head, Alpine, Giro and Scott. The Markers Head, Alpine, Giro and Scott are very good ski equipment manufacturers and are among the best manufacturers of ski products, so you will be perfectly equipped for skiing

Snowboard goggles

If you decide to go snowboarding instead of skiing on the mountain, you will of course also need goggles, in this case snowboard goggles. Snowboarders also need to make sure they have the perfect equipment for fun on the mountain by buying snowboard goggles in the right size so they can glide safely through the endless white. Snowboard goggles have the same effect as ski goggles. They reduce glare, increase contrast, protect you from dirt and cold and offer additional protection from dirt and cold.
So it's just as important for snowboarders to wear goggles as it is for skiers, simply to ensure solid safety.

The ski helmet - the most important thing for fun

Everyone should know that ski helmets are immensely important for maintaining good health. Without a ski helmet, various accidents can occur, regardless of whether you yourself are affected or others are, it is always advisable to ensure that everyone who skis with you wears a ski helmet.
The fit of a ski helmet is very important. This is not only for safety, but also for comfort. The ski helmet should fit well even without the chin strap, which basically means that the ski helmet cannot slip even with slight head movements. Because as soon as the ski helmet doesn't just slide around on your hair when you move, but pulls your scalp along with it and therefore doesn't change its position, then you've found the right ski helmet. When trying it on, you should of course also make sure that the ski helmet does not hurt or cause pressure points.

Structure of ski helmets

Ski helmets consist of two layers - the sturdy outer shell and the shock-absorbing inner shell. The ski helmets as a whole are therefore very important when skiing; you should also make sure that the ski helmets and padding are not only present on the head, but also on the chin strap and fastener.
Ski helmets should also be replaced after a heavy fall, otherwise there is a risk that the ski helmets will no longer be able to protect the person sufficiently.
A good helmet is the Mips helmet. The Mips helmet adapts very well to the goggles and is a very high-quality and safe product. Of course, the Mips helmet also offers additional comfort. Ski helmets, i.e. proper, well-protecting ski helmets, are indispensable when skiing. Ski helmets are simply indispensable!

All in all, you can say that the symbiosis between helmet and goggles has to be right.
The two items must be compatible, not only in terms of color, but above all in terms of fit.
The frame of the goggles must fit into the recess of the helmet you have purchased.
