The Ortovox Switchback 25 S is the lightweight, minimalist ski touring backpack for long tours in alpine terrain: 25 liters, 850 grams, main compartment and safety compartment via the back zipper, plus shoulder strap pocket, side pocket and rope attachment, which you can reach without taking off the backpack. The S version has a shorter back length for smaller people. Material: durable 420D Cordura made from recycled polyamide, color Dark Linen.

Ortovox Switchback 25 S: Ski touring backpack with short back for snow, ice and rock

On a long ski tour, you do not want to take off your backpack every time you change skins. With the Switchback 25 S, you can reach the shoulder strap pocket, the side pocket for skins, ski crampons and crampons, and the rope while walking. You can even attach the skis parallel to the backpack with a carabiner while wearing it. You open the main compartment and the integrated safety compartment with holder for shovel and probe via the zipper on the back, so the back side lies in the snow and the straps stay dry. A large, separate compartment at the top holds gloves, goggles and food. The Full Contact Light Back System distributes heavy loads, and when the backpack is half-empty, you pull it together with the 3-point compression straps of the A-Skifix. The S version is intended for people with shorter backs, typically women and smaller men.
