The best option to protect ski boot soles
This is an essential product for preventing ski boot soles wearing out quickly, leading to them becoming more slippery when walking on frozen surfaces and interfering with stepping into the heel binding. They are the lightest and most compact of all the options, and are the only type which can be folded for stowing in a jacket pocket - all the others are more bulky and impractical to use without a rucksack or other bag. They appear relatively pricey for what they are, but can save a lot of trouble and more expense in the long term.
