Product Information "Mach Tac 1 – Machete"
The Walther Mach Tac 1 is no ordinary machete. With its 400 mm blade made of hardened 440A stainless steel and its distinctive recurve shape, it makes it clear at first glance what it was built for: real-world use in the field. Whether for bushcraft, survival, or tough gardening tasks—this tool makes short work of them.
Walther Mach Tac 1 – A machete with bite and control
The blade impresses across the board. The 440A steel is not only hard enough for sustained cutting work but can also be easily resharpened without special tools. The black anti-glare coating protects against corrosion and prevents distracting reflections during use. With a blade thickness of 4.5 mm, the Mach Tac 1 easily handles even tougher tasks.
The ripper hook on the back of the blade is a clever detail: cutting through ropes, removing branches, trimming cords—no problem at all. The false edge at the front is not sharpened, which improves control while working.
Handle and Balance
The polymer handle with TPR inserts (thermoplastic rubber) provides a secure grip even when wet. Thanks to the combination of a lightweight handle and a solid steel blade, the balance point is located approximately in the front third of the blade—this ensures cutting power without losing control. Total weight: approx. 750 g. Total length: 550 mm.
The Mach Tac 1 comes with a sturdy nylon sheath with belt loops, so it can be carried on your person and is always within reach.
