The ankle is the spot where a ski boot most often causes pressure: The shell is narrow there, the bone lies directly under the skin, and every edge in the liner becomes a pressure point. The Ankle Protectors place a thin, soft layer of gel between them. Silitene is a lightweight silicone gel that conforms to the ankle, doesn’t add bulk under the sock, and stays in place while skiing. After a day on the slopes, wash by hand, dry, and reuse. The set includes four pads—one for each ankle on both feet.

Uses
For skiers with pressure points on the ankle, with new or tightly fitted boots, with prominent ankles, and after injuries when the boot doesn’t fit comfortably yet. For the shin, there’s the matching Sidas Shin Protector Evo.
Application
Place the pad on your dry ankle, pull your ski sock over it, and step into the boot. After your day on the slopes, wash it with lukewarm water and mild soap, let it air dry, and store it in its packaging.
Does the pad add bulk inside the ski boot?
At 3 mm, hardly. It’s thinner than most sock pads and doesn’t cause pressure.
Does the pad stay in place without adhesive?
Yes, the gel adheres lightly to the skin, and the sock on top keeps it in place.
How long do the pads last?
With proper care, it will last a full season or longer. Do not store in direct sunlight or on a heater.
Does the pad help if the boot is too tight?
It alleviates pressure points but does not replace a proper fit. If the shoe is fundamentally too tight around the ankle, a shell widening in our workshop will help.
