Phaenom fs 02 110 Men’s Ski Boot Corn Stalk

The Phaenom fs 02 110 is the second generation of the freeski boot from Phaenom, the ski boot brand from Faction. Flex 110, 100 mm last, a hybrid shell combining Cabrio and Overlap construction, and a thermoformable GridSkin liner: The fs 02 is a boot for anyone who wants to go from the slopes to the park and on into the backcountry without having to change boots along the way. The “Corn Stalk” color is a warm yellow that’s hard to miss on the mountain.

Phaenom fs 02 110: Freeski boot with a hybrid shell and flex rating of 110

The shell features a hybrid construction: The lower section is built like a classic overlap boot, providing direct power transfer to the edge, while the tongue and upper shaft are designed like a convertible boot, making it easier to step in and ensuring consistent flex throughout the entire range of motion. The shell on the 110 is tuned to be slightly softer, but the flex remains cleanly progressive and doesn’t become mushy when you apply pressure. Two micro-buckles plus the wide Phaenom strap are enough to secure the boot tightly, saving weight and time when lacing up.

GridSkin liner, thermoformable

The GridSkin liner is fully thermoformable, meaning it can be customized to fit your foot by a boot fitter. It provides support without causing pressure, and with its 100 mm last, the fs 02 fits normal to narrow feet. The boot does not have a walk mode, so it’s strictly a downhill boot for the slopes, the park, and freeriding.

Who is the fs 02 110 designed for?

For good to very good skiers looking for a true freeski boot with a flex of 110 that stays precise on the groomed runs while offering enough flexibility in the park and off-piste. Lighter skiers or those who prefer a more forgiving boot are better off with the 110 than with the 130.

Size Selection and Adjustment

The fs 02 is available in Mondopoint sizes; 26.5 corresponds to approximately shoe size 41 to 41.5, 27.5 to approximately 42.5 to 43, 28.5 corresponds to about 44. The 100 mm last runs on the narrow side; if in doubt, choose your usual ski boot size and have us thermally mold the GridSkin liner for you. The forward lean angle can be adjusted to 13, 15, or 17 degrees using flip chips; there is no canting adjustment. The GripWalk sole, compliant with ISO 23223, fits all GripWalk-compatible bindings.
