Product Information "Look Pivot 2.0 15 GW B105 Alex Hall"
Alex Hall competes in slopestyle and big air at the World Cup level and lands jumps where a binding simply can’t fail. His signature version of the Pivot 2.0 15 is technically the top-of-the-line Pivot model, plus it comes in a muted sage green with white accents instead of the usual black. The Z-range from 6 to 15 and the 105 stopper make it the perfect binding for wide freeride and park skis.
Look Pivot 2.0 15 GW Alex Hall - Signature binding for freeskiing
The swivel heel cup encloses the boot and allows over 180 degrees of movement, with a mechanical upward release mechanism that operates independently of the front jaw. In between lies the longest elastic travel available in alpine bindings: the binding absorbs impacts laterally and vertically and then quickly pulls the boot back to the center. That’s why the Pivot has been the go-to choice in parks and for freeriding for years.

Which skis is the 105 brake designed for?
The stopper covers a waist width of 95 to 105 mm. This covers most freeride and park skis, which today range between 96 and 104 mm. If your ski is narrower, the stopper won’t get stuck in deep snow, but it will protrude visibly and will be struck more easily on the edge. For skis wider than 105 mm, you’ll need the 115 version.
Why freeskiers stick with Pivot
The key factor is the holding force during hard landings. A classic heel piece only presses against the boot from behind, whereas the Turntable heel piece wraps around it. Combined with the large amount of elastic travel, this means the binding absorbs impacts instead of releasing immediately, yet still releases cleanly when the force is directed in the wrong direction. It is precisely this combination that is crucial for jumps.
What sets the Alex Hall Edition apart from the standard Pivot 2.0 15?
Technically, nothing. It’s the same binding with the same release range and the same mechanism, just in a color design by Alex Hall. If you don’t like the look, it performs exactly the same as the standard model.
Do I really need a Z-value of up to 15?
The value is determined based on height, weight, boot sole length, age, and skiing style. The 15 is recommended for heavier and more aggressively athletic skiers whose calculated value is above 13. Those with a lower value are better off with the 13 version, as it operates in the mid-spring range.
Do these bindings work with GripWalk boots?
Yes, both GripWalk and the classic alpine sole per ISO 5355 are approved. The boot just needs to be adjusted accordingly, because the sole heights differ between the two standards.
Is the Pivot also a good choice for the slopes?
It works perfectly on the slopes, but it’s designed for freeride and park use. If you almost exclusively ski on groomed slopes and don’t jump, you can get a lighter on-piste binding with the same safety level for less money.
Who mounts and adjusts the bindings?
This should be done at a service center. A drilling template, correct sole length adjustment, and a verified release test are mandatory; otherwise, the Z-value won’t be correct in an emergency. We’ll take care of it if you bring your skis and boots.
