Here’s how to apply the tape
KT Tape It is recommended to apply the tape about an hour before the activity. Clean the skin with alcohol to remove dirt, oil, and lotion, and trim back any thick body hair; otherwise, the adhesive won’t stick well.

- √ Stretch the middle section slightly to moderately depending on the application; never overstretch it
- √ Stick the last 5 cm back on without stretching it
- √ Rub firmly after application; the heat activates the adhesive
- √ Always end on the skin, not on the adhesive tape
To remove, lift a corner, hold the skin in place with one hand, and slowly peel the patch off with the other, keeping it flat against the skin. Never rip it off. It comes off more easily under warm water.

The Original, made of cotton, lasts one to three days and is designed for light to moderate activity. If you sweat heavily, spend a lot of time in water, or want to wear the tape for a whole week, use the “ KT Tape Pro” with synthetic fabric.
How many strips do I need per application?
One to three strips, depending on the body part. For a knee, you’ll need two to three; for an Achilles tendon, one to two. A package of 20 strips is therefore sufficient for about seven to ten applications.
Do I need to cut the strips to size?
No, they are pre-cut and have rounded corners so they don’t snag on clothing. For smaller areas, you can split a strip lengthwise or crosswise.
Can I shower and swim while wearing it?
Yes. Wait about an hour after applying it, and then it will be water-resistant. After showering, pat the edges dry instead of rubbing them.
What should I keep in mind?
KT Tape There are clear instructions: for external use only; avoid contact with the eyes; do not apply to wounds or broken skin; do not wrap too tightly; and keep out of the reach of children. If symptoms worsen, last longer than seven days, or return within a few days after subsiding, you should stop using the product and consult a doctor.
