Product Information "BOOTDOC Heat Socks Surround Thin EVO Heated Socks"
The BOOTDOC Heat Socks Surround Thin EVO are thin heated socks designed for tight-fitting ski boots: a heating element under the toes, gentle compression, and merino wool—all without the sock adding bulk inside the boot. Important: The sock does not come with a battery; you must order the “ Hotronic ” XLP battery system separately.
BOOTDOC Heat Socks Surround Thin EVO: thin heated socks with compression
EVO is the latest generation of Surround socks, featuring a redesigned heating element and connector. The Thin EVO is knitted thinly so your custom-fitted ski boot fits just as it did before, yet still contains 26 percent merino wool for warmth and odor control. The gentle compression (PFI 30, 5 to 10 mmHg) keeps the sock wrinkle-free on your foot and supports blood circulation. The heating element in the toe area connects to a Hotronic XLP battery via the plug on the shaft and provides up to 20 hours of heat, depending on the setting.
Important: Battery not included
You’re only purchasing the heated socks here. The battery packs and charger are not included, as many customers already have an Hotronic XLP system from their soles or older socks and only need replacement socks. The sock won’t heat up without a battery pack. If you don’t have an XLP system yet, we recommend ordering the Hotronic XLP Power Set 2S BT right away: two 4400 mAh battery packs, Bluetooth control via the Hotronic Heat app, and a USB-C charger. One set is enough for one pair of socks; the battery packs are compatible with all BOOTDOC Heat Socks and Hotronic heated insoles.

Care
Unplug the batteries, then wash at 30 degrees on the gentle cycle—no fabric softener, and do not tumble dry. The heating elements and connectors are designed for machine washing.
Is a battery included?
No. This item is the sock alone, without batteries or a charger. You’ll need an Hotronic XLP battery system—for example, the XLP Power Set 2S BT—which you can order from us right away. If you already have XLP batteries from Sohlen or other BOOTDOC socks, you can continue to use them.
What’s the difference between Thin EVO and Comfort EVO?
The Thin EVO is thinner and designed for tight ski boots. The Comfort EVO is slightly thicker, has a shin guard, and offers more padding.
Does the Thin EVO also fit in touring boots?
Yes, it works the same way in touring boots and snowboard boots. The battery is attached to the shaft and doesn’t get in the way when walking.
How long does a single battery charge last?
With the XLP 2S BT battery, the runtime is approximately 4 to 20 hours, depending on the heat setting. On the lowest setting, a single charge lasts for several days of skiing; on the “Booster” setting, it lasts for a very cold day.
How is the battery attached?
The battery is connected to the plug on the sock at the top of the shaft and secured with the clip to the top of the sock or to your ski pants. It doesn’t get in the way inside the ski boot.
