Product Information "Tyrolia Protector+ Attack 14 GW Ski Binding 95 mm Matte Black"
The Tyrolia Protector+ Attack 14 GW is the freeski binding featuring the Protector rear jaw: It releases not only upward but also sideways, thereby reducing the strain on the cruciate ligament during backward rotational falls. At the front is the proven Attack front jaw, DIN 4 to 14, GripWalk-compatible, 95 mm brake, in Matte Black.
Tyrolia Protector+ Attack 14 GW: Freeski binding with cruciate ligament protection
The Protector rear plate (HR Pro) rotates sideways by up to 180 degrees under high stress. According to Tyrolia, simulations by the University of Innsbruck show over 50 percent less stress on the cruciate ligaments during backward rotational falls—the typical type of fall that occurs during botched landings and in deep snow. The Attack front jaw FR PRO3 with metal AFD accommodates both alpine and GripWalk soles (ISO 5355 and ISO 23223 Type A) without any adjustments. Compared to its predecessor, the stand height is lower at 21 mm, and the DIN range extends up to 14. Weight is approximately 1,290 g per binding; TÜV-certified and manufactured in Austria. Tested by Johannes Hotter and Alex Moga.

Installation
We mount the binding in our workshop in Lengnau and adjust the Z-value based on your weight, height, age, and skill level. The 95 mm brake fits ski widths up to 93 mm; for wider skis, versions with 110 and 120 mm are available.
What’s the difference from the standard Attack 14 GW?
The front jaw is the same. The Protector rear jaw also releases laterally and is slightly heavier as a result. This is beneficial for those who often land backward or get stuck in deep snow.
Does the binding release earlier than others?
No. Lateral heel release only occurs under high loads; during normal skiing and landings, the binding remains as secure as an Attack.
Which boots are compatible?
All alpine boots compliant with ISO 5355 and GripWalk boots compliant with ISO 23223 for adults. Children’s soles (Type C) and touring soles that do not meet the GripWalk standard are not compatible.
How quickly can the binding be delivered?
It comes directly from the importer; delivery takes 4 to 5 days. We’ll then mount it on your skis in one to two days.
