Toko Express Grip & Glide Pocket: Liquid wax for scales and skin skis

Nowax skis do not need climbing wax, but they do need care. A dry base glides poorly, and at temperatures around freezing, scales and skins ice up, causing the ski to clog and slow down. Grip & Glide solves both with one bottle: on the glide zones it works like a normal liquid wax, on the climbing zone it lays a thin film over scales or skin that repels water and ice without sealing the structure. The grip remains, and the ski no longer clogs. Depending on the snow, the wax layer lasts one to two outings, then you repeat the application. Thanks to the pocket size, this can also be done on the go at the side of the trail.

Application

Wipe the base dry, shake the bottle, press the sponge and apply the wax thinly in the direction of travel to the glide zones at the tip and tail. On the climbing zone also in the direction of travel, that is from tip to tail, so that scales and skin hairs are not stressed against the grain. Let dry for about 5 to 10 minutes, then polish the glide zones with the polishing felt on the cap. Only dab the climbing zone briefly, do not polish. For skin skis, brush out the skin beforehand with a brush in the direction of travel.
