Suprabeam M6xr Defend Flashlight 2000 lm USB-C

The Suprabeam M6xr Defend is the tactical version of the M6xr: 2,000 lumens from a CREE chip, four fixed brightness levels via StepControl, and an instantly activatable 19-Hz strobe that disorients opponents. Designed for police, security services, and emergency responders, it also serves as a rugged everyday flashlight with a replaceable battery, magnet, and headband.

Suprabeam M6xr Defend: tactical flashlight with 2,000 lumens and strobe mode

The electronic rear switch cycles through 2,000, 500, 150, and 10 lumens with a single click. At full power, the flashlight shines 160 m and lasts 2 hours and 45 minutes; at 150 lumens, it lasts over 11 hours; and at 10 lumens, it lasts up to 140 hours. The 10-lumen setting is designed as an inspection light for checking IDs or equipment without causing glare. The combination beam—comprising a 30-degree spot and a 70-degree flood—provides both long-range and wide-angle illumination.

Replaceable battery, magnet, and headlamp function

The 18650 Li-ion battery with 3500 mAh has a USB-C port built right into the battery; you can charge it without a charger in about 6 hours or swap it out for a second one. If necessary, CR123 batteries will also work. A strong magnet in the tail end secures the flashlight to metal surfaces; with the included headband, it becomes a headlamp; and the adhesive adapter fits on helmets. The housing, made of anodized 6061 aluminum, is IP68-rated for water and dust resistance; the flashlight weighs 114 g with the battery and operates from minus 20 to plus 50 degrees.

If you want the flashlight for security and self-defense, go with the Defend; if you want stepless dimming, go with the M6xr.
