Product Information "Nortec Alp Light 2.5 Shoe Crampons, Dark Gray"
The Nortec Alp Light 2.5 are lightweight shoe crampons for winter hiking, trekking, and alpine running on ice, snow, and slushy trails. Slipped onto your shoes in just a few seconds, they provide a secure grip on ice, frozen snow, and icy trails. Nortec manufactures in Italy and tests the crampons down to minus 60 degrees.
Nortec Alp Light 2.5: Lightweight crampons for trekking with the Quick-Fit system
The Alp Light 2.5 is the all-around solution for hiking and trail shoes: a twisted stainless steel chain with radially arranged prong plates grips ice, snow, and slush. The elastomer rubber fits snugly against the shoe and doesn’t slip, even with quick steps. 13 contact points: 9 stainless steel plates (9 mm at the front, 11 mm at the back) plus a metal bar at the toe provide reliable grip on ice and hard-packed snow. The package includes a compact pouch for storing the crampons in your backpack or jacket pocket.

Care
After use, rinse with clean water, let them dry, and store them in the bag. Do not leave salt on the steel.
Will the Nortec Alp Light 2.5 fit my shoes?
Yes, the elastomer stretches and fits running shoes, trail shoes, and lightweight hiking boots. Choose the size based on your shoe size.
How quickly can the spikes be attached?
Pull them over the toe at the front and over the heel at the back—that’s it. It takes just a few seconds, even with gloves on.
Can I run on asphalt with them?
For short distances, yes; not for long-term use. On asphalt, the spikes wear down faster and there’s no cushioning.
Are the spikes replaceable?
For models with screw-in spikes, yes; replacement spikes are available at Nortec. For chain models, the entire chain is replaced.
How should I store the shoe spikes?
Store them in a dry place in the included bag. This keeps the elastomer supple and the steel rust-free.
