The “ Kleiber ” reflective tape is an iron-on reflective tape that lets you make jackets, pants, backpacks, and school bags reflective. It’s 2 cm wide and 150 cm long, silver in color, and glows brightly in the headlights. Iron it on, let it cool, and you’re done—the clothing remains washable.
Kleiber Iron-on reflective tape: Reflective strips for clothing
The tape consists of retroreflective film on an iron-on backing. Cut off the desired length, place the tape with the smooth side facing the fabric, and iron it in place for about 12 seconds on setting 2, with a thin cloth in between. Iron dry, without steam. Afterward, the tape can withstand washing at 30 degrees. At 150 cm, the 1.90 francs per meter is enough for the sleeves, pant legs, and backpack straps of an entire family. For delicate synthetic fibers or coarse knitwear, Kleiber recommends sewing the tape on with a few stitches instead of ironing it on.

Intended Use
For children’s jackets and school uniforms, running clothes, cycling jackets, dog coats, or work clothes. Anywhere a dark jacket is invisible at dusk and a stripe on the sleeve or pant leg makes all the difference.
Application
Cut the tape to size, round off the corners, and place the garment on a hard surface. Place the tape with the smooth side facing down, cover it with tissue paper or a thin cloth, and press firmly with an iron set to level 2 for about 12 seconds. For delicate fabrics, select the highest permissible temperature. Allow it to cure for one day before washing for the first time.
Does the tape stick to softshell and rain jackets?
It adheres well to cotton and polyester. Coated membrane jackets and synthetic fibers that are very heat-sensitive cannot withstand ironing; in those cases, sew the tape on.
How often can I wash the clothing?
The tape is designed for washing at 30 degrees. Wash it inside out and do not put it in the dryer; this way, it will last through many washes.
How far away can the tape be seen?
In the headlights of a car, reflective material is visible from about 140 meters away, while dark clothing without a reflector is only visible from 25 to 30 meters away.
Can I also attach the tape to backpacks?
It’s designed to be ironed on—it’s not self-adhesive. On a backpack, you can carefully iron it on or sew it in place. For helmets and smooth surfaces, there are the self-adhesive “ Kleiber ” reflective stickers.
