Product Information "Karakoram Connect Recon + Splitboard Interface"
The Connect Ci is a real powerhouse. The chassis consists of Carbon Infused Sidewalls for an extremely direct power transmission. The baseplate is made of High Strength Alloy aluminum and stainless steel, which makes this binding not one of the lightest bindings in the product line. The Ci Highback is a combination of shrink-free Dupont Zytel with Carbon Infused (Ci) Nylon. All Connect bindings today are designed with an open chassis: Functionless material is milled away. This not only saves weight, but also ensures a more natural flex under the binding. The Karakoram interface has the characteristic lever on the heel cap with which the binding can be released from the interface. In addition, the adjustable Forward Lean Adjuster on the highback is designed so that you can easily rotate it 90 degrees, giving you more freedom of movement when touring. All Karakoram-Connect bindings are available from Snowcountry including the Prime Connect 2.0 interface. So you can use them straight away.
