Dynafit Ultra 100 V3: Ultra-trail shoe with Supercritical Foam

The Supercritical Foam midsole makes the Ultra V3 the lightest shoe in its class and returns plenty of energy with every step, without the cushioning wearing off by kilometer 40. The stack height is 29 mm at the heel and 23 mm at the forefoot, plus a 5 mm insole in each case, with a 6 mm heel-to-toe drop. Strategically placed stability elements guide the foot without hindering the roll-off motion. The breathable knit upper is made of 38.8 percent recycled materials; the flat laces lie neatly against the instep and won’t come undone.

Fit and Use

The Ultra 100 V3 is built on the Maximum Volume last, meaning it has plenty of room in the forefoot to accommodate swelling feet during long runs. Dynafit rates the cushioning at Level 4 out of 4 and the responsiveness at Level 3. The shoe is designed for trail running on mixed terrain—from forest trails to alpine paths—for ultras, long training runs, and anyone who prioritizes comfort on the trail. The Ultra 100 V3 runs true to size. EU 42.5 corresponds to UK 8.5, US 9.5, and an insole length of 27.5 cm. For long runs, go half a size larger than you would for a road shoe, as usual, so your toes don’t bump against the front of the shoe when running downhill. The GTX version with a waterproof membrane is available separately for men and women.
