With its 1130 grams, the new Dynafit TLT8 Expedition is a real lightweight among two-buckle ski touring boots. To bring even more speed, comfort and safety to the ascent, the developers have paid particular attention to the new Ultra Lock 4.0 closure system. This is easy and intuitive to use and saves time when switching between ascent and descent. The upper buckle has two functions: It acts as a lever for the ski walk mechanism and simultaneously opens the shaft. Just like the second lower buckle, it is finely adjustable and can therefore be optimally adapted to the touring skier's foot.
Dynamic position for fast downhills
The system is easy to operate even when wearing gloves and scores points for reliability and solid workmanship, but this is not reflected in the weight - for speed without compromise. Thanks to the shaft rotation of 60 degrees, a natural and energy-saving walking movement is possible even on very steep terrain. The reduced boot tip, the so-called Speed Nose, not only enables a weight reduction of 15 percent, but also ensures 12 percent more efficient rolling behavior with its pivot point set back by 4 mm. On the descent, the ski touring boot can be set at an angle of 15 and 18 degrees, offering a dynamic position for fast downhills. The fit of the TLT8 Expedition has also been revised for optimum power transmission and the boot sits snugly and sportily on the foot with its 103 mm last width and athletic fit. Another special feature of the TLT8 Expedition comes into play when it comes to mastering icy grade passages or crossings in particularly steep terrain outside the binding: the ski touring boot is ideal for use with the new, ultra-light Cramp-In crampon, which was developed in cooperation with mountain sports specialist Salewa. CR-CUSTOM READY: Focuses on materials that offer greater thermal insulation and better climate management. The volume and thickness of this type of liner are thicker and more downhill-oriented.
