What size is right for you?
The centimeter measurement on the shoe box refers to foot length, not sole length. It’s best to measure your foot in the evening while standing and wearing the socks you’ll run in: place your heel against the wall, then measure the distance to your longest toe. For trail running, add 5 to 10 millimeters; otherwise, your toes will hit the front of the shoe when running downhill.
- √ EU 37 – UK 4.5 – US 6.5 – Foot length 23.5 cm
- √ EU 38 – UK 5 – US 7 – Foot length 24 cm
- √ EU 38.5 – UK 5.5 – US 7.5 – Foot length 24.5 cm
- √ EU 39 – UK 6 – US 8 – Foot length 25 cm
The Ultra 100 V3 is built on a roomy last with a wide toe box. If you’ve been wearing narrow road running shoes, stick with your usual size in length and you’ll simply gain extra room in the toe box. If you’re unsure, order two sizes and send back the one that doesn’t fit.
Is the Ultra 100 V3 GTX waterproof?
Yes. The integrated GORE-TEX® membrane provides reliable protection against moisture while remaining breathable.
What types of runs is this shoe suitable for?
The Ultra 100 V3 GTX was developed specifically for long trail runs, ultratrails, and extended training sessions.
On what types of terrain can the shoe be used?
The Vibram® sole with a deep tread pattern is suitable for forest trails, gravel, rocks, mud, and mixed terrain.
How does the shoe fit?
Normal length, generous width. Dynafit designs the Ultra 100 on a last with plenty of volume, which is comfortable over long distances because your feet swell slightly as the hours go by.
Do I need to go up a size because of the GORE-TEX membrane?
No. The membrane adds hardly any bulk. What’s more important is that there’s enough room in the toe box so your toes don’t hit the front of the shoe during long downhills.
I’m between two sizes—what should I do?
Go with the larger size for trail running. Half a centimeter of space in the toe box will save your toenails on downhill runs, while the shoe still fits snugly thanks to the lacing.
