The Dynafit Trail Reflective Pants are the perfect running pants for the in-between seasons. When it’s too cold for shorts but too warm for thermal pants—and you don’t like tight tights anyway—they fill that gap perfectly. Weighing just 113 grams, you’ll barely notice them while running.
Trail Reflective Pants – long running pants with 360-degree reflective print
The fabric is a lightweight ripstop material made of 87 percent polyamide and 13 percent elastane with micro-perforations. It stretches in all four directions, blocks the wind, and still allows enough moisture to escape when you pick up the pace. A reflective print runs all the way around the bottom of the legs so you’ll be visible from every direction at dusk and in the dark.

Who these pants are designed for
Dynafit While they’re clearly designed for trail running, they work just as well on a loop around the neighborhood, during a brisk uphill hike, or as lightweight overpants during the approach. If you don’t like tights but still don’t want baggy workout pants, these offer the perfect compromise.
Visibility in the Dark
The reflective print is intentionally placed at the ends of the legs. That’s exactly where movement occurs while running, allowing a driver to recognize you from a distance as a person—not just a bright spot. During the dark months of the year, that’s the difference between being seen and being overlooked.
Pockets and Care
Two open front pockets hold gels or energy bars, while there’s a zippered pocket in the back for keys or a smartphone. Wash the pants at 30 degrees on the gentle cycle without fabric softener and air-dry them. Fabric softener coats the fibers and compromises both breathability and the reflective print.
Are the pants waterproof?
No. It’s wind-resistant and dries quickly, but it’s not designed for rain. In steady rain, you’ll need to wear rain pants over them.
How warm is it?
These pants are designed as transitional pants, not winter pants. Dynafit intentionally rates their thermal performance as low. For cold winter days, pair them with tights underneath or opt for thermal pants.
How does the Athletic Fit run?
Slim fit, but not as tight as tights. The 4-way stretch follows your every move. If you prefer a looser fit, go up a size.
Does the reflective print stay intact after washing?
Yes, as long as you avoid fabric softener and wash it on the gentle cycle at 30 degrees. Fabric softener and high temperatures can damage the reflective material over time.
Does a smartphone fit in the pockets?
A smartphone fits in the zippered back pocket, where it’s also secure. The two open front pockets are meant more for gel, energy bars, or a key.
