Spalding is an American sporting goods manufacturer that was founded in 1876 by Albert Spalding in Chicago. Originally known as a manufacturer of baseball equipment, the company has developed into one of the world's leading suppliers of sports balls. The headquarters are now located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Spalding sells softballs through its subsidiary Dudley Sports and has also produced balls for various other sports over the years, such as American football, soccer, volleyball, tennis and golf.
