Product Information "Salomon Shift² Brakes 1x2 Black"

Salomon 's Shift² 1x2 brakes are replacement ski brakes for the Shift² bindings from Salomon, Atomic, and Armada. If you’re switching the binding to a wider or narrower ski or have broken a brake, you can replace it in just a few minutes. One pair, color: Black.

Salomon Shift² Brake: Choose a brake width that fits your skis

The brake width should be 5 mm less to 10 mm more than the ski’s center width: 90 mm for skis from 85 to 95 mm, 100 mm for 95 to 105 mm, 110 mm for skis from 105 to 115 mm, and 120 mm for skis from 115 to 125 mm. The Shift² brake features an improved brake lever with a more reliable locking mechanism and fits the Shift² 10, 13, and 16 models; according to Salomon, it also fits the first Shift MNC model.

Features in Detail

  • √ Replacement brake for Salomon, Atomic, and Armada Shift² 10, 13, and 16
  • √ Brake widths of 90, 100, 110, and 120 mm available
  • √ Improved brake lever, secure locking during ascents
  • √ Sold in pairs (1x2), color: Black

Intended Use

Binding conversion to a different ski, replacement in case of breakage or loss.

Assembly

Release and replace the brake on the heel piece without re-drilling. We can do this for you in our shop upon request.

What brake width do I need?

Measure the ski’s waist width and choose a brake that is the same width or up to 10 mm wider. A brake that is too narrow will rub against the ski.

Does the brake fit on the old Shift MNC?

According to Salomon, yes—the mounting remains the same.

Are two brakes included in the package?

Yes, 1x2 means one pair for both skis.

Do I need any tools?

A Phillips or Pozidriv screwdriver—that’s all.

Does the brake also fit on Atomic Shift²?

Yes, Salomon, Atomic, and Armada all use the same binding.
