Nordica Dobermann SLR DC: Double Core with two layers of titanal
At the heart of the design is the Energy 2 Ti Double Core construction. A Pulse elastomer core is sandwiched between two wooden cores, with two layers of Titanal encasing the entire package on the outside. The wood cores and the elastomer dampen vibrations and stabilize the ski on hard slopes, while the Titanal transfers your power to the edge without any loss. The result is a ski that stays planted at high speeds yet switches from edge to edge in a flash.

Who is the Dobermann SLR DC designed for?
For athletic to very skilled skiers who like to carve tight turns on the piste and want to ride a true slalom ski with racing DNA, without the stiffness of an FIS ski. When choosing the length of slalom carvers, opt for a shorter length: 155 cm for lighter skiers and fast turn sequences, 165 cm as an all-rounder, and 170 cm for taller and heavier skiers or a smoother ride.
Care and Service
A slalom carver relies on sharp edges. Have the edges sharpened and the base waxed regularly, and the ski will remain as precise as it was on the first day. We’ll adjust the FDT binding in our workshop to match your boot sole length and weight.
Is the binding included with the Nordica Dobermann SLR DC?
Yes, the ski is sold as a set with the Nordica Xcell 14 FDT binding. It is mounted on the Race Plate Pro and is adjusted to your boot size and Z-value before shipment.
What length is right for me?
Slalom carvers are shorter than giant slalom skis. As a rule of thumb: your height minus 10 to 15 cm. For a height of 155 cm, the radius is 11.5 m; for 170 cm, it’s 14 m.
Is the SLR DC an FIS ski?
No. The SLR DC is a slalom carver for the slopes with a race-inspired design, but without FIS certification. It’s significantly more accessible than the Dobermann SL WC, yet still very responsive.
What are the benefits of the Double Core construction?
Two wood cores with an elastomer layer in between absorb impacts and vibrations, while the titanium layers ensure edge grip and power transfer. The ski glides smoothly yet responds instantly.
Can I adjust the binding without tools?
Yes, the Fast Demo Track System allows you to adjust to a different boot sole length without tools. However, you should still have a specialist retailer adjust the Z-value.
