The Karakoram Prime X + Interface Women is made entirely of aluminum and has the same typical baseplate as the Prime Carbon-X. This unique three-dimensionally shaped baseplate runs under the foot for unparalleled response. The reactive highback is made entirely of plastic, making it slightly more versatile than a full carbon highback. PERFORMANCE The Karakoram Prime X-Carbon is designed with the special Prime X baseplate. In contrast to the normal Prime baseplate, this baseplate runs along the contact points under the binding. The frame is therefore curved at the contact points, which means that 4 points are in direct contact with the board. This ensures extremely direct transmission and maximum control. The baseplate is made of High Strength Alloy aluminum and stainless steel. All Karakoram bindings are now designed with an open chassis: Functionless material is milled away. This not only saves weight, but also ensures a more natural flex under the binding. The Reactive Highback is made from shrink-free Dupont Zytel. COMFORT These straps have the best weight/performance ratio in the Karakoram collection. The straps are made entirely of plastic and in one piece. The cut-outs ensure a better fit and lower weight. TOURING The Karakoram interface has the characteristic lever on the heel cap, which can be used to release the binding from the interface. In addition, the adjustable Forward Lean Adjuster on the highback is designed so that you can easily rotate it 90 degrees, giving you more freedom of movement when touring. All Karakoram-Connect bindings are available from Snowcountry including the Prime 2.0 interface. So you can use them straight away.
