Product information "Ortovox Free Rider 24 Black Raven"

ORTOVOX protects. This guiding principle was also at the center of the development of our Free Rider 24 Black Raven: The downhill-oriented backpack for freeriders features an SPS Flex back protector that turns the back system and protector into a flexible unit. Made up of eight pads that remain pleasantly flexible even in the cold, the TÜV-certified protector adapts to the body and absorbs impacts. We use SAS-TEC as the protective foam. After external impact, the viscoelastic foam returns to its original shape after a short time. In contrast to other cushioning materials, it is also resistant to multiple impacts (impacts do not destroy the protectors) and responds even to low forces. The shock absorption is almost linear, which minimizes the impact on the human body.
In addition to the optimized back protector, the FREE RIDER 24 has also been given new and optimized features: In addition to the diagonal ski fixation as well as the snowboard fixation, the larger model of the FREE RIDER has a lateral ski fixation. A permanently integrated helmet net, hydration system preparation and a wide hip belt for optimum, close-to-the-body fit are part of the standard of the FREERIDE SERIES, as are the ice axe and pole attachment and the safety compartment. The small upper storage compartment can hold small items or even a light jacket. This doesn't make it any heavier – on the contrary: the Ortovox Free Rider 24 Black Raven has become significantly lighter.
As with all ORTOVOX backpacks, the FREERIDE SERIES comes with an emergency card: In the event of an emergency, the card provides information about the injured person and can thus enable faster and more efficient treatment.

SUITABLE PROTECTION:

Anyone who ventures away from the crowds in the open terrain needs protection. But only what fits properly can optimally protect your body. For this reason, the ORTOVOX FREERIDER line is available in three different sizes. We offer injury protection for every body size and back length with our TÜV-certified protectors. SHORT (S) is ideal for a back length of 36 – 44 cm with a body height of approx. 150 – 175 cm, REGULAR for a back length of 42 – 50 cm with a body height of approx. 170 – 195 cm, and LONG (L) is best suited for a back length of 47 – 55 cm with a body height of approx. 180 – 200 cm. The wide, enveloping hip belt ensures a snug fit of the protector – especially when it matters.

SWISSWOOL-TEC-KNIT BACK SYSTEM The SWISSWOOL-TEC-KNIT BACK SYSTEM stands for the innovative synthesis of a TECHNICAL FOAM BACK with THERMO-PRESISTANT SWISS WOOL, covered with a 3D HIGHTECH KNIT. The wool pads are used zonally in contact areas with the back and store large amounts of moisture without feeling wet.
