Visor helmet

Ski goggles never pinch again: the ski helmet with visor is a comfortable alternative to a ski helmet and ski goggles. Because skiers are convinced of the advantages, the visor helmet is becoming increasingly common on the slopes. It is therefore not surprising that the brand Alpina and other well-known manufacturers are constantly developing their range of ski helmets with fixed visors. There is now also a good selection in the children's visor helmet category. At ski-shop.ch, you can easily buy a visor helmet from the CP brand online.
What distinguishes a ski helmet with a visor?
These models do not differ in design from regular ski helmets. So there are the variants: Hardshell, In-Mold and Hybrid. In hardshell models, the shock-absorbing inner shell is glued to the rigid outer shell. In the in-mold process, the outer and inner shells are welded together in a single step. These helmets are usually lighter than hard shell helmets, but not as robust. With hybrid technology, manufacturers combine these two manufacturing processes. The visor is made of shatterproof plastic and can be folded up. As with ski goggles, manufacturers use different lens technologies to ensure that skiers have optimum vision at all times. The anti-fog coating prevents the visor from fogging up. To increase the contrast for skiers on the white slopes, manufacturers use polarizing films. This technology contributes to safety. Alpina Marker calls this technology Vario- or Quattroflex - other manufacturers have different names for this polarization effect. There are also photochromatic lenses that react automatically to the light conditions. This means that these models darken automatically when the sun suddenly breaks through the clouds.
