The MSR® Lightning models are made of a high-strength, torsion-resistant yet lightweight aircraft aluminum alloy. The 360° traction frame with its unique flat profile and spikes on the underside provides all-round stability, especially when crossing icy areas. In very loose snow or when carrying a heavy rucksack, the Modular Flotation extension elements (optional) can be used to increase the surface area and thus generate additional flotation. The exceptionally firm coating of coated nylon is particularly durable and ensures a pleasantly soft step. The Ascent variants are now equipped with the high-quality Paragon binding. This binding is designed for a secure fit without pressure points. Its mesh strap ensures maximum surefootedness without compromising on comfort. The Ergo-Televator climbing aid provides relief on steep ascents. The MSR® Lightning models are among the lightest snowshoes on the market. MSR Lightning Ascent M30 Black Features: 360° traction frame Paragon binding Customizable for all conditions (Lightning Tail optional) Ergo Televator climbing aid Shoe size: EU 39 - 48 Recommended user weight: 68 - 127 kg (136 kg with tail) Weight: approx. 2.22 kg/pair Dimensions: 76 x 20 cm Material: 7075-T6 aluminum, TPU coated PA
The MSR Lightning Ascent M 22 is the first choice for many professionals, alpinists and hobby snowshoe hikers. It offers an unbeatable combination of grip, control and reliability. All this at a low weight. Compared to a snowshoe with aluminum tubes, the 360° traction frame construction with its fully circumferential crampon points offers incredible grip, even in alpine, steep and icy terrain. The robust flat frame construction supports the transfer of power from the snowshoe to the ground and provides the best stability in any terrain. The DTX crampons are made of martensite steel and move against each other. They are 26 percent thicker than their predecessors, which results in greater durability and better power transmission. With aggressive slip resistance, they provide excellent grip even in difficult conditions and snow flurries. The Ascent snowshoe features a new, individually adjustable, ultra-secure Paragon binding. It fits snugly to the boot and ensures the best possible hold. The binding straps have been replaced by a one-piece mesh binding. This technology allows the Paragon binding to adapt perfectly to different boot sizes. The ultra-light, hard-wearing, frost-proof and water-repellent TPU can easily withstand any activity, even on demanding tours in the backcountry. The extreme adaptability ensures a comfortable fit that eliminates uncomfortable pressure points. The quick and easy handling allows the snowshoes to be put on in no time at all. Even in the iciest temperatures, the Paragon binding is extremely easy to use. In addition, the binding can be folded flat and space-saving for transportation. The Ergo-Televator climbing aids make walking easier on particularly steep ascents and thus reduce fatigue. Of course, the model is also compatible with separately available extension elements for snowshoes for quick adjustment between firm snow and deep powder snow. The size 25 is suitable for a weight of up to 100 kilograms, i.e. person plus equipment. The snowshoe has more surface area for heavier loads, lots of powder snow and untracked widths. The ultimate in lightweight, aggressive performance for any terrain. Get to your destination safely.
