Functionality is a given, we think. For us at Maier Sports, clothing for outdoor and winter sports must be able to do three things more. It must have an optimum fit. Its materials must be of high quality and innovative in order to meet new customer requirements. And thirdly, it must be ethically and ecologically sound.
Founded in 1938 as Immanuel Maier GmbH, Gerhard Maier took over the management of the company in 1970. He quickly turned his father's textile company into a well-known clothing manufacturer for the then trend sports of skiing and tennis. Outdoor was added later. Today, Maier Sports has become an integral part of the ski and outdoor industry and has been regarded as a specialist in pants and fit for many years.
