The Corsa Alpine combines the ultra-light aluminum shaft of the Corsa with a steel head that ensures good performance even in alpine terrain. The 45 cm version is the ultimate for alpine routes and ski mountaineering, where the efficiency of the steel pick and shovel are just as important as the lightness of the aluminum. The curve of the shaft ensures better impact force without reducing the ability to hit or penetrate ice. A special nylon insert prevents snow from penetrating and sticking to the shaft, which in turn has a special structure for a good grip. The opening integrated in the head section between the shovel and shaft allows the attachment of a Corsa Leash hand strap (sold separately). Technical data CAMP Corsa Alpine: Lightweight ice axe with steel head, also suitable for technical terrain Ideal for winter and glacier tours, winter alpinism and ski mountaineering Tapered pick with a thickness of 4 to 3 mm for better penetration in hard snow and ice Nylon insert to prevent snow from accumulating in the shaft Head section with opening for attaching the Corsa Leash (sold separately) Structured lower shaft area for good grip Type 1 (B standard) Weight 0.240 kg

In 1919, CAMP (Conception of articles for mountaineering in Premana) made history by producing an alpine tool that would change the way people explored and traveled through the mountains forever. CAMP was founded in Premana, Italy in 1889 by Nicola Cordega, a blacksmith who made wrought iron tools. However, it was Nicola's son Antonio who, influenced by a former member of the Italian army, emphasized the need for new tools to enable soldiers to move faster and more efficiently through alpine terrain, would make history by producing a new alpine tool: the ice axe. In 1940, legendary climber and mountaineer Ricardo Cassin continued to influence Cordegas, designing new and better ice axes, crampons, hammers, carabiners and pitons over the next fifty years. with further development and innovation in the form of backpacks and climbing equipment such as harnesses and boulder pads. CAMP is now run by Nicola Cordega's grandsons and is still based in Promena, where they remain inspired and passionate about developing tools that offer climbers new and better ways to practice their craft.
