The Randonnée model is a versatile backpack for winter tours and alpine crossings. Mountaineering in winter is exciting and beautiful, but scaling Lange ascents or climbing with a backpack makes your body sweat as it tries to lower its temperature. This can leave your back and shoulders sweaty and hypothermic, especially when temperatures drop or the wind picks up on belays or descents. Our Contact Flow Fit carrying system offers a groundbreaking solution to this problem. It allows higher perspiration per cm² than conventional constructions and reduces the temperature in the middle back area by 1.6 °C after 15 minutes. This is due to the low body contact and the integrated micro-ventilation system with 3D air channels that allow more air to circulate around the back. The carrying system and the geometry of the shoulder straps are specially tailored for women. The result is a dry back and long-lasting comfort for Lange days in the mountains. The Randonnée model is also characterized by other intelligent solutions that make it the perfect backpack for winter. Its robust ROBIC® material is a special, high-strength nylon fabric that is 60 % more tear-resistant than conventional nylon backpack materials and can withstand almost anything, from rocks to crampons and ice tools. The proven Split Shoulder Strap system offers greater arm mobility than conventional backpacks and is an important feature on long ascents with skis and climbing skins or when moving overhead while climbing. This backpack is characterized by functional details such as a rope attachment, an ice axe attachment and several ski attachment options (both parallel and diagonal), which allow quick fixation without removing the backpack. There is a fleece-lined pocket for goggles to prevent them from getting scratched, a separate side pocket for wet climbing skins and a special compartment for shovel and probe.
